I had to install the 64x version from the website, as it said I should, now it won't activate. Please help.

If it won't activate, disable your firewall for a second.

Whatever the problem, never ever disable your firewall. Not even for a few seconds. NEVER.
If the source of your problem is firewall related, find out how to allow the firewall to perform what you need it to. Never just turn it off / allow all traffic etc.
